Dragon Magic IRC Rules Introduction These rules were established to give a general description of acceptable use of the IRC server for Dragon Magic, and conduct for use of this server, including but not limited to chatting and services provided. These rules can and probably will change as the admins see fit, to meet current or necessary changes on the server and clients. Rules are enforced as best as possible, and should be obeyed if you wish to continue use of this server and its resources. Whenever rules are updated, it is your duty to notice these changes and abide by them immediately. As always, administrators and IRC operators have final say in all matters and there will be no rebuttals or appeals should you be banned or killed from the server for any reason. Other operators or administrators will not lift bans or kills from another for any reason. Should you feel a grave injustice has occured, email the system administrator and include necessary logs, only if you can show that an administrator or IRC operator was well out of line. Above all else, have fun. Rules This server is provided as is for free use of standard IRC clients only. No other networks or servers are allowed to connect to this server without express written permission of the system administrator. Currently, this includes no other servers or networks. All clients must be able to provide valid CTCP replies for PING, VERSION, and TIME. Any client found to ignore these three CTCPs will be k-lined from the server indefinitely. This k-line will be issued for the userid and domain block, but flagrant violations of this rule will cause a total domain ban to be issued. We provide a NickServ, MemoServ and ChanServ for registration use, but do not guarantee that all registrations will be kept or that they will be protected. You are responsible for your own passwords and no one from Dragon Magic will ever ask for your passwords. We will not reset channel or nick registrations or provide those passwords for anyone without just cause. However, we reserve the right to remove registrations we find to violate our rules of use, or are vulgar, insensitive, illegal or otherwise causing a problem for the server or its resources. Warez, piracy, illegal trading of any information, bots of any kind not authorized by the administrators or IRC operators, and open file servers or password/ftp announcers will not be allowed on this server. There will be no other warnings, and violators will be immediately killed from the server. Flagrant violations will cause a complete domain or netblock k-line and will not be lifted. Any annoyances or attempts to take control of a channel, nick, or the server or its resources, will result in a ban, and flagrant violations will result in a k-line. Any attempts to defeat any bans, whether channel or server side, will also result in a k-line. This server is meant for chatting and we wish to maintain a safe chatting experience for all. Those who feel this does not include them will find themselves escorted from the server. Any rules not covered already but which an administrator or IRC operator deems to be a problem for other clients or resources will result in administrative enforcement that the administrator or IRC operator sees is necessary. If you do not understand these rules, immediately contact an administrator or IRC operator, or email the server admin. You are fully responsible for following these rules. |
